BETTY FITZGERALD – Music Director 1974 – 1988 then half of 1991
Betty Fitzgerald had her first solo performance at the age of four and eventually became a student at Melbourne University Conservatorium A few years later she became a principal soprano with the National Theatre Opera and sang many roles. Betty moved to Sydney in 1961 and continued her career with the ABC giving recitals and also teaching singing and piano.

Principal tenor for Mountain Opera company. William was trained by Miss Florence Taylor and Mr Noel Melvin, and at one time taught singing at Guildford. We honour William Amer, who’s been leader of the Choir when Betty went to Ireland and we were in trouble dire;

MAVIS NOAKES – 2003-2012 A graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and Sydney Teachers College. She has taught High School Music for many years, as well as acting as rehearsal pianist and “pit” musician for many Stage Musicals. In 2002 she accepted the invitation to act as resident accompanist with Bankstown City Choir, she also plays with the Sutherland Shire Symphony Orchestra.
