Bankstown City Choir were invited to Goulburn on the Saturday of the long weekend to participate in the “Festival of Song” as part of the Goulburn Lilac Festival.
They performed their own program of songs and the experience was beneficial to all choir members, Musical Director Garry Brahe complimented the choir on their high standard performance.
The Choir performed along with the Goulburn Regional Conservatorium Choir “Vernan Veriables” and the Goulburn U3A Choir “Golden Age Singers”.
The day also provided the opportunity to bond as most choir members and their partners came down together on a chartered bus. The day included lunch in the Goulburn Soldiers Club and a couple of hours to browse through the market stalls of the Lilac fair, the strawberries were particularly popular.
