Celebrating 45 years of singing in 2019
Bankstown City Choir rehearses every Tuesday night at Georges Hall Community Centre, 188 Birdwood Rd, Georges Hall, from 7:30pm to 9:30pm. There is a rehearsal every week, except in December and January.
There is a weekly fee of $3 to cover hall hire and accompanist costs
We host 2 major concerts a year (July and November) in our rehearsal hall, Georges Hall Community Centre. The choir performs and also invites other local performers to showcase their talents. Previous concerts have included performers from the Bankstown Talent Advancement Program (TAP), as well as individual choir members.
The Choir also performs at various Aged Care Facilities in the area usually on a Sunday afternoon as part of our Aged and Disadvantaged Concert (ADC) series.
If you enjoy singing, why not come along and join us. The Choir’s philosophy is that everyone who wishes should have a chance to sing and so there are no auditions to become a member. You don’t need to read music or have any other prior experience.
